Based on examples I have found I am dating this from 1965 when his fascination with dots seems to have really exploded full force through his collection. Here we see 4 variations of the dot used to maximum effectiveness. The top portion of the dress is a solid black and sleeveless. This balances out the skirt which is full and to the floor. The original belt holds the 4th dot and I love how they graduate in size and density from the belt to the final huge dot pattern that circles the hem. Made of his signature knit poly jersey it is easy to wear and care for. It is very rare to see apiece with its belt. A magnificent statement dress and highly collectible. Excellent condition.
Unlined and closes with a painted back zipper. The belt is backed with leather. The fabric around the round buckle shows signs of separating from the backing but still presents well.
